This month’s chamber spotlight shines on Joseph’s Nursery located at 921 Rostraver Street in Monessen.  Joseph’s Nursery is a family owned and operated business that first opened its doors in 1954 under the ownership of George Joseph Sr. The nursery services all of the greater Mon-Valley area including: Monessen, Monongahela, Charleroi, Belle Vernon, and Donora.

You may recognize Joseph’s Nursery’s trucks as you visit Monongahela Valley Hospital, where they have been maintaining the grounds for over 50 years.

Today, Joseph’s has been passed down to the next generation of the Joseph family.  George Jr. and his sons, George III and Michael now run daily operations. Joseph’s has just celebrated its 67th anniversary.

With the help of George III’s daughter, Kristen, they have expanded the garden center.  In addition to their many varieties of flowers, vegetables, perennials and landscape ready trees, the garden center has grown into carrying a number of gifts, tools, flags and decorations for every season.  They are a one stop shop for all of your outdoor and gardening needs.  The friendly, personal experience you receive while shopping at Joseph’s is something they pride themselves on since the very beginning.

During the summer months you can see Joseph’s Nursery trucks throughout the Valley and surrounding area landscaping residences and businesses.

Joseph’s is looking forward to their biggest season yet, supplying the Valley with reasonable but quality vegetables, hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, soils, and mulches.
